First Time Speaking
Junior spoke for the very first time at age seventeen, at a pool party for his church's youth and children ministry. Subsequent invitations slowly trickled in from other churches and groups in the immediate region. By his early to mid-twenties he had grown into a sought after speaker across the Southeast U.S.
Today he speaks nationally and internationally to Christian organizations, Bible-believing churches of all denominations, and on radio and television.
Junior also pastored during off-time or pauses in his athletic career. He interim pastored two Baptist churches and pastored a non-denominational Charismatic plant. These unusual, diverse pastoral stints were providential to his personal and ministerial growth. The resulting fruit was a broader, more accurate kingdom mentality; a stronger Ephesians 4:1-16 approach; and greater empathy and wisdom in his support for vocational pastors.

The Beginning Years
Learning the Basics of Anointed Communication
Age 17, Auburn AL
What could I possibly have to say at 17? Well, by this time I had learned to have a "quiet time" with the Lord every morning, so I spoke on that. I shared a few scriptures about meeting with Him daily, urging them to develop this intimacy. To this very day I repeat the same message constantly, as so many Christians do not commune with the Lord daily.
Age 19, Panama City Beach FL
By age 19 speaking invitations slowly increased here and there, especially during vacation periods or off-time from soccer. Most were to youth groups, but eventually church revivals became interested. Here I spoke at a youth retreat on the subject of testing. Oh my. By this time in my life I began experiencing the God "who tests our hearts" (1Th 2:4).
Age 20, Mobile AL
This was one of the most powerful moments in my early years. I preached on the Second Coming and Day of the Lord. The Holy Spirit landed with tremendous power. Nine people came forward to be born-again, and dozens of Christians covered the altar and recommitted their lives to the Lord.
Age 21, Montgomery AL
This was a difficult time. I tried to exhort strongly on
congregational commitment to a house of prayer, but my heart simply was not right. The content was right, and the Lord used it on multiple levels, but I had so much to learn about humility and mature authority.
Age 23, Woodland AL
Around this time my vision began to improve. The greatest commandments came into sharper focus. I began seeing the importance of theological and ministerial priorities, while downplaying peripherals and pettiness. Here I taught on the greatest commands and seeking the Lord for vision on how to fulfill those commands through your unique life calling.
The Expansion Years
Increasing in Wisdom & Fruitfulness
By my late twenties, wisdom began to permeate me. I started approaching everything much slower. Patient reflection, thorough prayer, and nuanced reasoning became my baseline more and more. This made speaking exceptionally more effective and fruitful. Here I taught on the destiny process of Elijah over four days.
In this beautiful moment I knelt down to pray for this young girl who desired prayer. I spoke on the functions and activities of the Holy Spirit in the life of the Christian. By this time in my life and ministry I had become so close and so in love with this amazing Companion and Helper.
I was beginning to truly understand my identity and position in Christ, and it was affecting and changing everything about me! Here at this conference I taught on the three heavens, how we are to live from third heaven down, not first heaven up, as Colossians 3:1-3 tell us.
As I continued deeper and deeper into my calling, I was often consumed with zeal to help my listeners also find and fulfill their purpose. I began speaking more on the intricacies of destiny discovery, process, and fulfillment, as I did here.
The greatest understanding that emerged from my late twenties and early thirties was a lush understanding of God's nature. He is perfectly balanced and comprehensive in His attributes, and those attributes are on revolving display as seasons come and go. Here I taught on His four main attributes, tracing them all throughout Scripture.
St. Paul MN
By this time in my life I had become repeatedly baptized in the reality of "waiting on the Lord." At first I kicked and screamed and threw crayons, but by this point I had come to appreciate the critical transformation injunctions in those waiting periods. In this message I share five or six reasons the Lord makes us wait.
Around this same time, the Spirit alighted upon my eyes to notice a Me-centered entitlement current influencing many western Christians and their spirituality. The result of this current has been stunted or non-existent spiritual development, and consequently, masses of Christians still novice or adolescent in Christ. In this message on spiritual growth and maturation I took aim at this very thing.
San Diego CA
Ahhh, relationships. When the Lord wants to bless us, He often sends a person. When the enemy moves to steal, kill, and destroy, he too often sends a person. Every relationship is either cultivating strength in us or reinforcing weakness in us. I gave a careful teaching and zealous exhortation on how we must approach relationships.
Las Cruces NM
Having walked through several marvelous freedom processes myself, I spoke here on the practicalities of how the Holy Spirit makes us free and free indeed. Where the Spirit of the Lord abides, there must be freedom sooner or later. I taught on "the seven spirits of God," or better stated, the sevenfold Spirit of God (Rev 1:4, 3:1, 4:5, 5:6, Isa 11:2).
How crucial is it for those ministering to flow in sync with the Holy Spirit? This can mean different things in different situations. However, we can miss the Spirit's immediate nuance because of our denominational programming, personality style, rigid expectations, ethnicity/culture, or some other hindrance. I got into gritty details here at this regional gathering.
The Nations As An Inheritance
Speaking in Reynosa, Mexico, with pastor George Maisonette. I spoke on how Elijah, through a remarkable and zealous prayer life, caused both rain and fire to fall from heaven. I exhorted the church to develop that same kind of prayer intimacy with the Lord, one that results in rain and fire from heaven!
In this trip to Waterdown, Canada, I helped Youth For Christ in the realms of leadership and organizational development. Here I am speaking at a backyard baptism I was invited to there, explaining the history, meaning, and applications of the historic Christian practice. My goodness I loved Canada!
Church Planting & Development
Developing a beautiful fellowship in Pennsylvania. Doing a Q&A session across a variety of subjects.
Developing a plant in SW Florida. Ministering on the Messiah's job description and internal healing.
Sample of Media Clippings
Many words could be used to describe Junior's speaking. He himself often uses one word: grateful. Grateful to be born-again and enjoy a lifegiving, lifechanging friendship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Grateful to contribute to His glory and kingdom. Grateful to be able to love, inspire, educate, transform, and create with the wonder that is anointed communication.
Perhaps the most powerful aspect of Junior's speaking is in praying for people, individually and corporately. Occasionally he will share a Spirit-prompted message within the intercessions. It is often noted these moments in the conscious presence of the Lord bring confirmation or transformation in an extraordinary, sometimes unprecedented, way.
