Junior has played soccer competitively from a very young age. He quickly became distinguished for a playmaking and goalscoring ability that was unusual. In youth and high school play he broke local and state goals records, drawing professional interest in him as a teenager. At age nineteen Junior signed his first pro contract and his athletic career began, leading to experiences in Costa Rica (Goicochea), Guatemala (Communicaciones), England (West Bromwich Albion), Colorado (Pikes Peak Cavalry), and other semipro and amateur teams.
